UK-based Mind Candy has appointed former Jim Henson Company and Sesame Street creative Jocelyn Stevenson as its executive creative producer to head up the creative teams on all Mind Candy film and TV projects.
Stevenson, who has nearly 40 years of experience in children’s entertainment working on kid brands such as Fraggle Rock, The Magic Schoolbus, Bob the Builder, and Barney & Friends, will lead the creative teams for the upcoming and first ever Moshi Monsters Movie (working title) as well as oversee the further development for Moshi Monsters TV which is now live within MoshiMonsters.com as a member’s feature.
Moshi Monsters Movie is currently in pre-production while Moshi TV currently offers a blend of user-generated content and in-house produced content, including the Moshi TV show, several animated strands and third party programming.
Stevenson joins Mind Candy from her most recent role as creative director at TT Animation. She also previously held a five-year stint as CCO at HIT Entertainment.
The news comes on the heels of Mind Candy’s ongoing brand expansion including the recent launch of Moshi Monsters Moshlings Theme Park game for Nintendo 3DS and DS, a new toy partnership with Schylling Toys and a promotional partnership with McDonald’s.
