UK-based Sky Vision has signed a new distribution deal with Russian digital broadcaster Carousel TV for the preschool series City of Friends.

Carousel TV has acquired two seasons of the 26 x 10-minute series, as well as two 30-minute specials from Norway-based producer CreaCon Group.

Carousel TV is part of Channel One Group, Russia’s leading digital channel for a family audience with more than 51 million viewers in the country.

City of Friends will launch on the channel in late 2012 and air daily.

Overall, the series has been sold into more than 180 countries and translated into 23 different languages.
