Aardman Rights, the enterprises division of Bristol, UK's Aardman Animations, has partnered with Kite Entertaiment to take on distribution for new mixed-media comedy Science Fiction.

Aardman Rights, the enterprises division of Bristol, UK’s Aardman Animations, has partnered with Kite Entertaiment to take on distribution for new¬†mixed-media comedy Science Fiction.

Targeting eight- to 12-year-olds, the series has started airing on Ireland’s RTE and CBBC in the UK. Using¬† a mix of green-screen puppetry, 3D and 2D animation, Science Fiction delves into the world of science and tech and sets out to debunk common myths in a humorous way.

Under the deal, Aardman Rights is now repping global TV, DVD and publishing rights for the 33 x 90-second ep series. For its part, Kite Entertainment is working on a third season with co-producers RTE and CBBC.
