Egmont launches co-development drive, pairs with DHX

In line with its plans to secure new international creative partnerships across all kids entertainment formats, children’s publisher Egmont UK has joined forces with DHX Media and announced its first collaboration, Shipwrecked.
With support from TV consultant Angus Fletcher (the former president of Jim Henson Television Group), Egmont aims to co-develop original content across publishing, TV, digital, and merchandising bringing together its authors and illustrators with new creative partners.
DHX (Yo Gabba Gabba!, Rastamouse) the first company to come on board, will share multiplatform content rights with Egmont. Their Shipwrecked collaboration, a cross between Lost and Gossip Girl, is being co-developed into a TV series and a book by Egmont author Siobhan Curham (Dear Dylan), Egmont editor Ali Dougal and DHX’s VP of development Stephanie Betts.
