Cut the Rope’s Om Nom hits the big screen

Zeptolab’s popular app property Cut the Rope is set to make its US big-screen debut as part of National CineMedia (NCM)’s FirstLook pre-show.

Special Cut the Rope video content, including a new animated short, will screen from September 28 through October 25 prior to select screenings of G and PG-rated films on thousands of movie screens across the US.

Since its release in October 2010, the app has been downloaded more than 250 million times on iOS and Android devices, and the property’s L&M program continues to expand, covering apparel, gifting, publishing, toys and mobile and games accessories.

Zeptolab recently named new European agents for the brand: Enjoy for Spain and Portugal, Active Merchandising for Germany and License Connection for Benelux. All three will work with ZeptoLab’s licensing agent ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment across all countries in the European Union to create Cut the Rope brand strategies.

Toy Galaxy, in partnership with Studio Licensing and Established Brands, has also come on board to launch key chains, wind‐up toys, bouncy balls, grow figures, a talking coin bank, a toy basketball game, paddle ball, yo‐yos and splat toys for North America in spring 2013.
