Paris-based prodco Alphanim has secured TV deals in five new markets for its 52 x 11-minute action-adventure, eco-themed kids series The Green Squad.

Discovery Kids has scooped up the series for the Asian region while TVO takes the show to Canadian audiences. Additional broadcasters on board include ATV (Turkey), Paka Paka (Argentina) and French-language channel TV5 Monde for its multi-territorial feeds.

Broadcasters already on board include KiKa (Germany), France 5 (France), RTBF and VTM (Belgium), RTS (Switzerland), Minimax (Central and Eastern Europe), Noga (Israël), Al Jazeera (the Middle East), Canal Plus (Poland), Natseven (Malaysia) and Okto (Singapore).

The Green Squad, which is a copro by Alphanim (Gaumont Group), Europool and France Télévisions, follows the adventures of three siblings who use a global blogging network to save the planet and protect endangered species.

Along with new broadcasters, the series is also tapping into the consumer products market with a French licensing program (science games, arts and crafts, publishing, stationery).
