Sakar to produce Cut the Rope electronic products

Edison, New Jersey-based Sakar International has signed on to produce electronic products based on ZeptoLab’s hit game app Cut the Rope in a deal brokered by Studio Licensing and Established Brands.

The range of consumer products, which will be available across North America and Mexico in summer 2013, include ear buds/headphones, cases for all portable devices, flashlights, cameras, flash drives and alarm clock radios.

The latest deal further expands the licensing and merchandising program for the successful app, which has been downloaded more than 250 million times worldwide.

Newly added licensees for North America include AllStar Distributing (vending accessories), Color-a-Cookie (cookie decoration set and pre-decorated cookies), Decopac (cake decorations and kits), Innovative Concepts in Entertainment (amusement redemption games and merchandisers), Simply Natural Foods (fruit snacks, gummies and hard candy),Trends International (stationery including bookmarks, calendars and posters).

Additional licensees span toys and games (Mattel), board games (Hasbro), sleepwear and loungewear (Li & Fung) and comic books (Ape).
