Netherlands-based licensor Glow Europe has signed a number of distribution deals in France and Benelux for its pocket money toy collectibles brand Bumpeez.
The toys, which are aimed at kids ages five to 11 and were first launched to success in the UK, are set to roll out in French retail stores (Toys ‘R’ Us, Auchan, Carrefour, E.LeClerq, Cora, Geant Casino and King Jouet) from August 24 and from September 1 across Benelux (Blokker, Marskramer, Bart Smit and Intertoys).
Coinciding with the launch will be a national television advertising campaign with Nickelodeon and Disney XD for Benelux and TF1, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Gulli and Boomerang for France.
A Bumpee toy consists of a circular chip, featuring 100 individual character designs, encased in a ring that comes in different shapes, colors and sizes. When the chip is placed in the ring, Bumpeez become bounceable and can be used for trading and to play games.
Glow Europe has plans to launch the brand throughout the rest of Europe and globally.
