Ryan St. Peters has been promoted to director of sales at Toronto, Canada-based producer/distributor Shaftesbury, the company announced Wednesday.

In a newly expanded role, St. Peters will develop and implement US and international sales, marketing and distribution strategies for all Shaftesbury and Smokebomb Entertainment properties. He will also manage execution of sales deals, asset delivery, and coordinate the company’s sales presence at international markets and conferences.

St. Peters previously worked as marketing manager at Pearson Education.

St. Peters joined the company in 2005 as a sales representative, and was promoted to sales manager in 2010. On the kids front, he helped sell Life with Derek (70 x 30 minutes) in more than 120 countries worldwide.

In his new role, he will report to Shaftesbury senior VP of sales and marketing, Shane Kinnear.
