In an effort to seek multi-platform business opportunities across TV, L&M, gaming and live events, The Random House Group has launched a new arm, Random House Enterprises (RHE), and hired Jo Edwards (pictured) as its first head of licensing.

Reporting to Nigel Waters, group commercial director of The Random House Group, Edwards joins RHE from her previous role as VP of international consumer products at Discovery Communications, where she worked for 11 years developing licensing business in sectors including toys, retail, clothing, electronics, live shows and exhibitions.

In addition, Chloe Johnson-Hill has joined RHE as events manager. She was previously the publicity director at Jonathan Cape and Bodley Head.
