UK publisher Hodder Children’s Books has acquired the book rights to top-selling British-born design and greetings property My Cat Pip.

The deal, brokered by Hodder’s Picture Book Publisher Emma Layfield with Kirsty Guthrie from licensing agent KJG, will see Hodder publish a range of books for children ages three and up.

Activities featured in the first four books set to be published in March 2013 include dress-up sticker books, lift-the-flap books and ‘Where’s Pip?’ books.

My Cat Pip launched in 2008 and more than one million copies of the brand’s greeting cards have sold worldwide with particular success in Russia, France, Australasia and the UK.

Additional licensees already on board include Aurora (plush), Ethos Concepts (toiletries), Vista Stationery and Print (calendars, year planners), Alligator (gift bags and boxes), Robert Frederick (stationery), Bluebird Brands (mugs, coasters, purses, wallets and umbrellas), Shreds (aprons and mini tote bags for kids), and WW Group (girls clothing line).
