Spider-Man and The Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, and The Hulk) are set for an adventure in the world of Phineas and Ferb thanks to the first crossover animated television special from Marvel and Disney, which is currently in production and set to premiere in summer 2013.

Phineas and Ferb creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh have partnered with Marvel’s creative team to create  “Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel,” which will feature Marvel’s Super Heroes and Super Villains, including Red Skull, Whiplash, Venom and M.O.D.O.K.

The special sees the Marvel Super Heroes enter Danville after Dr. Doofenshmirtz uses his power-draining technology and accidently removes their powers. Phineas and Ferb end up teaming up with them to take down Dr. Doofenshmirtz who has partnered with the Marvel Super Villians.

The new special follows on the heels of the Marvel Super Heroes taking flight on Club Penguin last month marking the first time ever Disney site has brought an outside franchise into its virtual world.
