Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products has partnered with Archie Comics to develop a four-part comic book series for 2013 that brings the cast of the hit Fox TV musical series Glee directly into the world of Archie and the gang.

Comic book writer, playwright and Glee scribe/producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) will tackle writing duties on the project and illustrations will be handled by Dan Parent (Kevin Keller, Archie Meets Kiss).

In the new series, Archie, Veronica, Jughead, Betty and the rest of the Riverdale gang encounter a parallel universe where they come face-to-face with singing and dancing troupe from Glee.

To date, Archie Comics have sold almost two billion comics worldwide, and crossover storylines (Archie Meets Kiss, Archie Meets The Punisher) have proven to be popular.
