Canadian pubcaster CBC has ordered 25 episodes of new original series JiggiJump for its Kids’ CBC block, featuring Canadian kids singalong duo Judy and David, from indie Canuck shop Markle Productions.

JiggiJump aims to get kids more physically active by combining music from Judy and David with imaginative adventures created via animated backgrounds.

The show is based on the JiggiJump musical fitness adventure concept from Judy and David and Education Arts Canada that has seen success in schools and theaters, and is targeted to Canadian preschoolers and their families.

Solis Animation will spearhead the show’s animation and designs.

JiggiJump will begin production this summer, and will be shot entirely in front of a green screen.

The series is set to air in fall 2013.
