Angelina Ballerina musical pirouettes into UK theaters

HIT Entertainment has joined forces with UK-based prodco Nick Brooke and BOS Productions to produce Angelina Ballerina: The Mousical, the first live musical stage show for the UK based on the popular children’s brand.

The musical, based on author Katharine Holabird’s award-winning books, launches this week and will reach a total of 24 theaters across the UK over the coming months.

Angelina Ballerina: The Mousical follows the adventures of Angelina and her friends after they discover that their dance academy has won an opportunity to appear in their favorite TV program Dancing with Mice!

A marketing play for the new musical allows local dance schools from each touring region to enter a draw to win the chance to be in the live show.

The new UK production follows on the heels of the brand’s successful US live musical stage show which bowed in New York City in fall 2010 and continues to run.

Angelina Ballerina the TV series currently airs on Five’s Milkshake block and Nick Jr. in the UK.
