Zodiak Media Group’s children’s production and distribution arm Zodiak Kids has inked new international sales for its live-action/animated preschool series Waybuloo.

ABC Australia and Zappelin in the Netherlands have snapped up the 50 x 11-minute spinoff version of the series while RAI (Italy) has acquired an additional 50 episodes of the original 19-minute series bringing the total number of episodes the Italian broadcaster has picked up to 150.

In addition, Canal Panda (Portugal) and Luli (Turkey) have signed on for 52 episodes of the original series, and EM TV (Papua New Guinea) for 15 episodes.

Since its debut in May 2009 on CBeebies, Waybuloo, produced by Zodiak Kids’ The Foundation and Decode Entertainment for the BBC, has gone on to air in 80 countries worldwide including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Italy.

Zodiak Rights holds worldwide rights in all media for the Waybuloo brand, with the exception of Canada where Decode Enterprises handles broadcast and home entertainment, and DHX Licensing represents consumer products.
