Amazon announces first TV dev slate

Retail giant Amazon's production arm Amazon Studios has named its first four Series Development Slate television projects, including one children's series.

Retail giant Amazon’s production arm Amazon Studios has named its first four Series Development Slate television projects, including one children’s series.

In the kids arena, the first project to move ahead with the new TV initiative is preschool-targeted Buck Plaidsheep, developed by Frank Suarez and Clark Stubbs chronicles the adventures of sheep Buck at Fleecy Farm.

Suarez and Stubbs will receive a US$10,000 option from Amazon for the series that has the distinction of being the first kids content placed on Amazon Studios’ development slate.

The three other series on the initial slate are the comedies, The 100 Deaths of Mort Grimley, Doomsday and Magic Monkey Billionaire.
