Multi-platform kids entertainment service Kabillion has added the new live-action Bratz-themed spinoff Passion for Fashion and a new CG/live-action/puppet series based on the iconic Cabbage Patch Kids brand to its Kabillion Girls Rule! channel.
Passion for Fashion, based on Kabillion’s most viewed show Bratz, is a tween-targeting lifestyle series that focuses on fashion trends. The series is hosted by 12-year-old Brianna Gage (Kabillion’s Bri What?) and features guest appearances from top tween stars including Bailee Madison (Wizards of Waverly Place, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark) and recording artist Jasmine V.
The new Cabbage Patch Kids series, which is expected to reach more than 40 million households through Comcast, Time Warner, Charter and other local MSOs, will bow on Kabillion’s Girls Rule! On Demand network this August.
Galen Walker, who worked on the animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and is currently producing Paramount’s upcoming live action TMNT feature, is on board as producer.
The latest Bratz news comes a day after MGA Entertainment announced it will roll out two new fashion doll properties – a new a Bratz spinoff (Bratillaz) and a new cosmic-themed line called Novi Stars.
Kabillion launched in January 2007 and is available both as free TV On Demand and a free online broadband site (www.Kabillion.com). Kabillion Girls Rule! was added last year and is the first and only On Demand network for girls.
