Classic launches new Olivia CP program

New York-based Classic Media has inked a range of new North American consumer products partners for it recently acquired Olivia property.

New partners including Just Play (master toy), LeapFrog (educational entertainment), Dalmatian Press (coloring and activity books), Chronicle Books (novelty formats), Publications International (sound and look and find books) and Simon & Schuster (master publisher).

Just Play will develop new plush SKUs, including plush beanies, a medium-sized plush assortment and a new Olivia ‘bedtime’ plush that plays music. The initial line will launch in the fall with an expanded assortment ready for spring 2013.

Also in the fall, LeapFrog is debuting an Olivia learning game for its LeapPad and Leapster Explorer platforms.

On the publishing front, Simon & Schuster will release a new title written by the sassy piglet’s creator Ian Falconer, Olivia and the Fairy Princesses, this fall. Additionally, 13 new tie-in titles and 10 eBooks are slated to be released throughout this year.
