Marking the iconic brand’s 30th Anniversary, a new half hour, CG-animated Care Bears series entitled Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot from producer American Greetings Properties will make its TV debut Saturday, June 2 at 8 a.m. ET on US kids cablenet The Hub.

The characters born in the ‘80s continue to connect with today’s kids and families, and the most recent series will introduce a new bear to the gang in Care-a-Lot, the curious Wonderheart Bear.

The brand has also continued growing its consumer products presence with master toy partner Hasbro expected to debut a new line based on the new series in 2013.

Since 2002, Care Bears licensed products have generated more than US$2.6 billion in global retail sales.
