Wildbrain to expand Yo Gabba Gabba! toy line

DHX Media’s Wildbrain Entertainment has selected toyco Jazwares to launch a new line of toys for preschoolers based on hit kids live-action music series Yo Gabba Gabba!

The line by Jazwares, which is the IP’s master toy license, will feature accessories, plush, playsets, vehicles and musical toys to be available at mass and online retailers across the US by early spring 2013.

The deal further expands the brand’s consumer products program which includes more than 40 licensees in the US. In June 2011, Wildbrain inked a deal with licensee Amscan to produce a party line of themed goods and accessories to be sold in US retail stores starting this year.

Other partners include Simon & Schuster for publishing, Filter (Fontana/Universal) for music and Nickelodeon Home Entertainment/Paramount for DVDs.

Yo Gabba Gabba!, which is produced by The Magic Store and Wildbrain, is currently in its fourth season and airs in all major territories worldwide and on Nick Jr. in the US.
