The kidsnet, which targets children ages four to 12 and their parents, focuses on programs that entertain and educate helping kids develop cognitive, social, emotional and personal skills.

Programs at launch will include Headrush (featuring Mythbusters host Kari Byron who teaches science tricks for kids), Think Big (featuring inventions by young inventors), and the animated series Wild Kratts, which is created by real-life zoologists Chris and Martin Kratt and follows the brothers’ adventures around the world discovering wild animals.

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific launched its first network, Discovery Channel, in 1994 and its total eight networks to date (including TLC, Animal Planet) reach more than 534 million subscribers in 34 countries.
