Ireland-based animation and TV prodco Telegael has partnered with California’s SupperTime Entertainment to produce the new animated kids series Impossimals, based on the colorful, striped characters created by UK-based artist Peter Smith and his wife Jayne.

Telegael will serve as the lead producer with SupperTime taking a development role from a US perspective. In addition, SupperTime’s principal, Liz Stahler, will handle worldwide publishing and merchandising for the series.

More than US$20 million worth of Impossimals art prints and greeting cards, which are handled by art publisher Washington Green, have been sold in the UK.
