The popularity of the 30-year-old iconic video game character Pac-Man continues as Namco Bandai Games, Arad Productions, and 41 Entertainment have granted the US television rights to Disney XD for their new Pac-Man series tentatively called Pac-Man – The Adventure Begins.

The 26 x 22-minute action/comedy series, which is scheduled to air in fall 2013, is executive produced by ex-Marvel studio head Avi Arad and Rick Ungar (Biker Mice from Mars for New World, X-Men Evolution for Marvel and Legend of the Dragon for BKN).

Meanwhile, Namco Bandai also plans to invest more than US$15 million in the production and launch of a major global toy program.
