London, UK-based Classic Media has secured a range of new broadcasting deals across the Asia-Pacific region that encompass more than 1,200 hours of programming, including Postman Pat, Guess with Jess, George of the Jungle, Finley The Fire Engine, He-Man and Casper the Friendly Ghost, with its terrestrial, pay-TV and Home Entertainment partners as well as growing its presence on IPTV platforms.
The deals include a new free TV agreement for Postman Pat (South Korea, EBS), and IPTV deals for the series in Australia (Yahoo 7) and China (Qiyi/Lekan).
A range of agreements signed for Guess with Jess include New Zealand (TVNZ), South Korea (C4U Media), Thailand (Rose Media) and China (Lekan). Deals for preschool brand Finley the Fire Engine include China (Lekan), and Free TV and Home Entertainment rights in Thailand (TIGA).
George of the Jungle licenses include India (Sun TV) and Thailand (True Visions), while Australia’s Jigsaw has picked up Casper and Friends, Casper: A Spirited Beginning and Casper’s Haunted Christmas. Thailand’s TIGA has secured Casper and Friends, Malaysia’s Natseven TV lands Casper’s Haunted Christmas and Casper: A Spirited Beginning, and NTV7 has picked up the feature film Casper’s Scare School and series one of Casper’s Scare School, and Taiwan (Migo).
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has been picked up by Australia’s Yahoo 7 and by China’s Qiyi.
