Dino Dan gets Ruckus app treatment

Toronto, Canada's Sinking Ship Entertainment has scored a digital partnership deal with Ruckus Media, which has been granted the rights to develop interactive eBooks and storybooks, enhanced eBooks, and story-based apps based on CG/live action series Dino Dan.

Toronto, Canada’s Sinking Ship Entertainment has scored a digital partnership deal with Ruckus Media, which has been granted the rights to develop interactive eBooks and storybooks, enhanced eBooks, and story-based apps based on CG/live action series Dino Dan.

The digital storybooks for children ages four to eight and will help kids’ knowledge of dinosaurs and help develop their scientific thinking, problem-solving and literacy skills. The first three storybooks will be available for mobile devices in April 2012.

The series, which teaches kids about dinosaurs and science, has currently been sold in more than 100 countries through distribution partner Breakthrough Entertainment. It was also the number one episode download for Amazon.com for kids/family programming and has more than three million YouTube viewers.

The deal comes on the heels of recent Dino Dan TV sales to Nick Jr. (US), TVO (Canada) and TVA (French Canada) as well as deals to grow the brand’s CP program in the US and Canada.
