New York-based Little Airplane Productions has partnered with acclaimed independent children’s recording artist Laurie Berkner to develop a new animated preschool TV series Sing It, Laurie!

The new series follows Laurie, a little girl who loves to sing and play her purple guitar, and her dog Jamaica as they travel around their neighbourhood in their Wing Dinger helicopter.

Each 11-minute episode explores a theme, such as family, community, or nature, and features original and classic songs from Berkner, who was the first artist to ever appear in music videos on Nick Jr.

The series’ educational curriculum was written by Dr. Christine Ricci (Dora the Explorer) and focuses on the core themes of creativity curiosity and music appreciation.

The deal adds to Little Airplane’s growing library of preschool series including Tobi, which was recently picked up in Iceland and Iran.
