Genius names marketing director

Entertainment developer and marketer Genius Brands International, the company behind the Baby Genius line of music and education-based products and characters, has named Denise Kovac as marketing director.

Entertainment developer and marketer Genius Brands International, the company behind the Baby Genius line of music and education-based products and characters, has named Denise Kovac as marketing director.

Kovac brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in the consumer product industry having served as a top executive at a number of companies including COO of Your Baby Can, LLC, president of Thane Direct, USA, president of Bay Street Brands, and VP of sales at Fitness Quest/Warner Vision.

In her new responsibilities, Kovac will help launch the first direct response marketing campaign for our Baby Genius DVDs and CDs. The campaign, which will launch in the US in early 2012, will feature the airing of one and two-minute television commercials that tie in to a newly created Baby Genius website where consumers can purchase a range of Baby Genius DVDs, CDs, books and toys.

Genius Brands International plans to reach additional language markets including Spanish-speaking parents and children by launching Spanish-language Baby Genius DVDs and CDs.

Also, a new line of Baby Genius musical and early learning toys from JAKKS Pacific’s Tollytots division will launch in fall 2012.
