K’Nex constructs Angry Birds deal

US toyco K’Nex has inked a deal with Finland’s Rovio Mobile to produce an Angry Birds line of building toys.
The sets, for children ages five and up, will feature popular Angry Birds characters, buildable launchers and other elements from the game, which has been downloaded more than 600 million times. The line will not be widely available until fall 2012.
The deal expands the consumer products program for Angry Birds which now includes apps, branded advertising, merchandise, entertainment and book publishing.
