Max Steel is back in action

FremantleMedia Enterprises, the brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, has inked a distribution deal with Cartoon Network Latin America for boy-skewing Max Steel (26 x 30-minute), a new CGI-animated series based the Mattel boys action IP.

FremantleMedia Enterprises, the brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, has inked a distribution deal with Cartoon Network Latin America for boy-skewing Max Steel (26 x 30-minute), a new CGI-animated series based the Mattel boys action IP.

Worldwide distribution (excluding the US) of the Mattel/FME co-produced series will be managed by FME as well as global home entertainment rights. Vancouver, Canada-based Nerd Corps Entertainment, meanwhile, will serve as the series’ animation production studio.

The series follows the adventures earth-bound teenager Maxwell McGrath, who has turbo energy super powers, and his alien friend Steel as they work together to protect Earth from monsters and extraterrestrial invasion.

Max Steel will air in 2013 on Cartoon Network channels throughout Latin America, including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
