Comic book publisher Ape Entertainment, Classic Media and iVerse Media have brought Richie Rich digital comics to iOS devices for the first time.

Digitally restored and color-corrected original master copies of the comic are featured in the app, which offers themed games under the title Rich Rescue for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The app includes four full-color issues of the Rich Rescue series for US$1.99 apiece and the Richie Rich Classics series for US$.99 each with a color cover, one 5-page story in color and the rest in classic black and white.

Richie Rich made his comic book debut in 1953 and has since headlined his own comic book series, syndicated comic strip and animated TV series.  The character has starred in more than 50 comic titles and 2,000 issues.
