9 Story Entertainment has inked a number of licensing deals for the merchandise program of boy-skewing series Almost Naked Animals.

Following deals in the UK and the US, 9 Story has entrusted Pennsylvania-based Basic Fun with the global rights for non-talking plush products, electronic handheld games and key chains.

Global manufacturer Underground Toys has North American and UK rights for talking plush items with or without clips. Mad Dog Concepts has US rights for sleepwear, JCP Live acquired US rights for character mascots live events and Character Options expanded its UK rights into a global deal for the Character Building line of micro figures and constructions sets. Global licensing rep Toronto, Canada’s The Licensing Shop brokered the deals on 9 Story’s behalf.

The show, which features the misadventures of a group of underpants-wearing characters, airs on Canada’s YTV, the UK’s CiTV and ITV1, Australia’s ABC and on Cartoon Network in the US.  It also recently launched on France (Canal+), Disney Channel (Italy and Latin America), NPO (Netherlands) and Germany (Super RTL).  In November, Almost Naked Animals became the number-one series on CiTV.
