Barney brand goes Techno

New York City-based media company HIT Entertainment, which was acquired by Mattel earlier this fall for US$680 million, has struck a deal with global toy company Techno Source, a division of LF Products, to license new Barney toys.

New York City-based media company HIT Entertainment, which was acquired by Mattel earlier this fall for US$680 million, has struck a deal with global toy company Techno Source, a division of LF Products, to license new Barney toys.

Techno Source’s new Barney toy line will include plush, play sets and figurines and will be available this spring in the US and Canada.

Barney & Friends, which originally launched in 1992, currently airs on PBS KIDS and Sprout in the US and on Treehouse TV in Canada.
