Animated TV series The Smurfs is heading to Cartoon Network in Spain along with additional regions in Latin America.

Spanish production company Imira Entertainment has sold 104 episodes of the series for Free and Pay TV to Cartoon Network Spain.

Further free TV deals have been signed with UCV Televisión in Chile (78 episodes), Televisora de Costa Rica (120 episodes), and Ecuador’s RTV (163 episodes), while in Portugal pay TV channel SIC has acquired 26 episodes.

Imira represents rights to the classic series in Iberia and Latin America (with the exception of Mexico and Brazil).
