European production and distribution company Millimages secured a raft of international broadcast deals for its kids slate at last month’s MIPCOM.
Broadcasters ABC Australia and Italy’s RAI have picked up the Timoon-produced 3D animated series Bugged. The show commissioned by Canal+ relives the glory days of burlesque-era cartoons and has no dialogue.
New CGI toon Me and My Robot has been pre-sold to DR in Denmark, NRK Norway, with SVT Sweden coming on board in Scandinavia, while VRT has picked up the show for Belgium.
Also in Scandinavia, both MTV3 Finland and TV2 Denmark have picked up the CBBC and Canal + commissioned series Trust Me I’m a Genie (pictured) and the Kapow-produced CJ the DJ.
Both properties have also been sold in Ireland with CJ the DJ going to TG4, and RTE coming on board Trust Me I’m a Genie.
