Caillou journeys onto mobile devices

Preschool character Caillou is making his mobile debut thanks to a new app from educational developer Night & Day Studios.

Created  in partnership with licensor Cookie Jar Entertainment and its licensing division CPLG, Caillou’s World is designed to help children ages two through five learn phonics, letter recognition, memorization and spelling.

It’s based on the PBS Kids long-running series that follows the adventures of a curious boy.

The app is available for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android and Android Tablet for US$2.99. It is among a slew of new children-targeting releases from Night & Day Studios, which is behind the upcoming Richard Scarry’s Busytown, Counting with the Caterpillar and Yo Gabba Gabba! apps.
