Canada’s Astral Media will begin offering up select Disney XD programming on the Xbox 360 console through online entertainment service Xbox Live.

Available to Canadian families through Xbox Live starting this winter, Disney XD will offer a sampling lineup that includes titles such as Phineas and Ferb, Kickin’ It and What’s Up, Warthogs! (pictured).  The content will be available free of charge to Xbox Live Gold members. Short-form content such as behind the scenes clips, on-location reporting from events such as the Electronic Entertainment Expo as well as select promotional spots for the brand will also be available on the service. Promotional opportunities tied to the program will also be available.

In related news, Astral has launched Radio Disney on its Family Channel website. The Canadian launch comes on the heels of Radio Disney’s 15-year anniversary and is a move to bolster desired content on a variety of platforms. In light of the launch, brands are being offered sponsorship titles that include on-television and digital exposure.
