Bernard – the TV polar bear-turned-viral sensation that garners more than 250,000 daily episode viewers on YouTube – is now headed for the big screen.

Spanish firm BRB Internacional will produce SuperBernard, a 75-minute 3D film that’s slated to debut in 2013.

The series Bernard (156 x three minutes), which airs in more than 50 countries, has three seasons as well as a TV movie (My Friend Bernard) completed.

The new film, which will be accompanied by a full-scale licensing and merchandising plan, will make its debut at next month’s Brand Licensing Europe.
