Teletoon exec heads to Mercury Filmworks

Office Politics is simply how power gets worked out on a practical, day-to-day basis. Travis Williams has left his production executive post at Canadian animation network Teletoon to head up the development team at Ottawa-based prodco Mercury Filmworks.

As director of development for Mercury, Williams will work with chief creative officer Jerry Popowich on the development slate in servicing and coproduction, dealing directly with writers, designers and creators.

Williams spent seven years at Teletoon, where he helmed development and production of several series including Jimmy Two-Shoes (Breakthrough Entertainment), Total Drama Island (FreshTV) and Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 (Nelvana, Mattel).
