Rebecca Bonbon fashion contest to sell winner’s designs at Kmart

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), is staging a fashion design contest for its Rebecca Bonbon brand with tween fashion site Stardoll.com, which will give the winner the chance to have their online design produced and sold exclusively at Kmart across the US.

The winning design will be chosen by the Stardoll community at-large and is open to US residents. Details on how to enter the contest will be announced on the Stardoll site this fall.

In addition to entering the design contest, members of the Stardoll community are invited to join the Rebecca Bonbon Club, which offers unique virtual products and prizes, exclusive video content and access to the Me Doll section represented by Jennette McCurdy, star of Nickelodeon’s iCarly, who is the official spokesperson for the Rebecca Bonbon girls’ clothing and accessory brand.

Rebecca Bonbon—created by Yuko Shimizu, the original creator of Hello Kitty—is a French bulldog and super-cute fashionista from Paris who currently resides in New York City and has a penchant for shopping and sweets.

The brand is also widely available in Japan and in most major Western European countries, and gearing up to launch in the U.K. this fall. FME was granted exclusive master licensing rights to Rebecca Bonbon from Crown Creative in 2008 and now represents the brand globally (excluding Japan and Korea.) Stardoll was launched in 2006, has more than 120 million registered users globally and reaches over 18 million unique users per month.
