PBS Kids is growing its educational app family with its first Spanish-language educational iPad app. Little Pim Spanish is designed to help children learn Spanish vocabulary through playing games with the panda bear star of the Little Pim foreign-language teaching DVD series.

The app, now available for US$2.99 at the App Store, targets kids under the age of five, who are proven to be particularly receptive to the sounds of different languages.

To date, PBS Kids’ nine apps have been downloaded a total of one million times.
