Cartoon Network UK goes HD

Cartoon Network UK is turning 18 and to mark the occasion Turner Broadcasting UK is launching an HD simulcast of Cartoon Network on satellite platform Sky.

Cartoon Network HD will go live on September 14 and is the first HD channel in the UK from the broadcaster that’s behind such kids’ brands as Boomerang, Cartoonito and CN Too.

Through the new channel, viewers will be able to see Cartoon Network shows in full high definition, including Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Regular Show, Adventure Time and Star Wars: the Clone Wars.

Also available in HD will be The Amazing World of Gumball (pictured), the broadcaster’s first in-house produced series that bows on September 5.
