Scholastic grows International division

The appointments of Anne Boynton-Trigg and Edie Perkins come as Scholastic International looks to grow its presence in emerging markets.

Scholastic has tapped Anne Boynton-Trigg to expand international sales penetration in both mature and emerging export regions, replacing Edie Perkins who has been promoted to the newly created position of VP of international product development.

The appointments come as Scholastic International looks to grow its presence in emerging markets. The division currently provides literary products for schools that include English-language teaching materials and classroom books.

Perkins will work with the company’s domestic product development teams to create programs that can move from the US into international markets. She will also be responsible for facilitating the development and adaptation of digital solutions across the Scholastic International Export Group. She has served as VP of export and marketing for Scholastic International since 2008, where she oversaw marketing and sales.

Boynton-Trigg was most recently SVP and GM with Pearson Longman English Language Teaching.  In that role, she trained and directed editorial, production, US sales and global marketing staff.  She also held position as director of international marketing, as well as a number of sales and marketing managerial positions with Pearson.

Both Boynton-Trigg and Perkins will be based out of New York.
