LeapFrog’s brand-new $100 kid-friendly tablet, unveiled late last month, has sold through its run of pre-sale units in the first two weeks in the US.
LeapPad, the personalized learning tablet designed for kids ages four and up, mirrors popular adult tablets and includes an on-board camera and video recorder. By the end of the year, LeapPad will have a library of more than 100 game cartridges and apps that include educational curriculum.
The tablet will officially launch at major retailers in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland next month, and analysts expect it will continue to be a top performer through the holiday season.
