Former MySpace exec Anthony Lukom is officially stepping in as the new VP and GM of Turner Broadcasting UK & Ireland. Lukom joined Turner last year as acting GM.

Going forward, he will draw on his digital background to extend Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, TCM and Adult Swim properties. He’s also spearhead strategy across programming, digital, ad sales, licensing, marketing and creative services and will head up all content syndication, such as the distribution of new Turner Broadcasting and Dreamworks Television series, Falling Skies, by Steven Spielberg.

Lukom was formerly MD of MySpace UK, where he played a key role in the development and launch of the MySpace Music Service. Prior to that, he held a number of senior positions at AOL Europe.
