Nickelodeon US has ordered 45 new episodes of the soap-style, mystery-adventure series House of Anubis.
Production on the series’ second season will begin in Liverpool, UK this month with premieres rolling out in a Monday to Friday daily format in 2012.
House of Anubis is a new version of the Nickelodeon international series recreated and recast for US, Australian and UK audiences. The series follows a group of students who uncover and solve hidden mysteries at an English boarding school, while dealing with the highs and lows of their teenage years. In season two, the teens undertake a series of perilous challenges in order to find a powerful and long-forgotten treasure. This series will also introduce several new characters including Eddie (Burkely Duffield), a self-styled punk bad boy from America.
House of Anubis launched in the US, the UK and other Nick channels around the world earlier this year. The series is the first Nickelodeon US live-action show produced in the UK.
