Mr Bean goes Beanie

The popular Mr Bean brand continues to draw in a younger audience - this time through a new licensing deal with plush manufacturer Ty.

The popular Mr Bean brand continues to draw in a younger audience – this time through a new licensing deal with plush manufacturer Ty.

Under a deal with UK licensing agent Zodiak Rights, Ty will launch a range of Mr Bean-inspired Beanies and Beanie key rings this year.

The British comedy series starring Rowan Atkinson was revived as a kids-oriented animated series in 2002. The animated series currently airs in more than 30 territories, while an official Mr Bean website and Facebook page launched in July 2010. To date the brand has garnered more than 13 million Facebook fans.

Tiger Aspect appointed Zodiak Rights the UK licensing agent for Mr Bean in 2009. Zodiak Rights also currently has an international licensing agent representing the brand in India.
