Imira forges Latin American TV sales

Barcelona-based youth production and distribution company Imira Entertainment has signed a number of deals across its portfolio in Latin America.

Barcelona-based youth production and distribution company Imira Entertainment has signed a number of deals across its portfolio in Latin America.

In Brazil, Imira-produced animated preschool duo Vitaminix and Saari (pictured) have sold to free TV channel Canal Futura, with another free TV channel, TV Cultura, picking up the first season of live-action show Wicked Science produced by Jonathan M. Shiff Productions, FFC, Film Victoria, Network Ten and ZDF Enterprises. Wicked Science has also sold to Canal 7 in Argentina which acquired all 52 x 26-minute episodes of the series alongside Corneil & Bernie from Millimages.

In further deals, Imira has scored sales in Ecuador with free TV broadcaster RTV picking up the Millimages series Bugged and Breakthrough Entertainment’s Dino Dan.
