MarVista Entertainment and Nickelodeon have finalized a multi-territory agreement which will bring the new series Power Rangers Samurai to European territories including Germany, Benelux, the UK and Ireland. As well, the deal includes Latin America, Australia and New Zealand.

Nickelodeon has also acquired all television rights to the 40 new episodes for Germany, Holland and Flemish-speaking Belgium, and pay television rights for all other territories. The series will bow in May.

Produced by Saban Brands and Power Rangers Productions, the original series debuted in 1993. The new iteration is also helmed by Haim Saban, who created and produced the original series. Following its introduction in 1993, Power Rangers became the most-watched children’s television program in the US and spawned a franchise that is estimated to have generated more than US$5 billion in revenue.
