A number of presales have been established for Zodiak Kids/Marathon Media and Spin Master’s new series Redakai: Conquer the Kairu.

Following the recent Cartoon Network US pickup, Canada’s YTV and France’s Canal J have announced plans to broadcast the series in the second half of this year, and French channel Gulli will air the series in early 2012.

The brand’s first visuals were unveiled last month in New York at both the Toy Fair and Kidscreen Summit and the series will be fully launched on the international marketplace at next week’s MIPTV in Cannes, France. International TV and video sales will be handled by Zodiak Kids while Marathon Media is handling the worldwide licensing and merchandising rights excluding North America, where Cartoon Network Enterprises is the exclusive agent.

Redakai: Conquer the Kairu features Ky, a 15-year-old boy and student of the ancient martial arts who embarks on a quest to find a mystical energy. Spin Master is planning to release a complete range of Redakai-inspired games, trading cards and toys.
